Detail of the main beach
Due to the lack of large cliffs the coast in Njivice in almost its whole length is suitable for bathing. The series of beaches starts on the northern side with the coast used by naturists, followed by the beach of the camp, then the Blue Flag beach of Hotel Jadran, the main beach, a rocky area, Kijac Beach and it's in the small bay of Slatina where the beaches end. Out all of these the main beach, the beach of Hotel Jadran and Kija Beach are gravel, built up beaches, the rest is mainly rocky with small gravel sections. In the high season insted of the crowded centrally located beach it's reasonable to head either north or south - one would find intimate and quiet locations on both ends, anytime.
As for accommodation Njivice offers three hotels, a bungalow resort, a camp and many private apartments and rooms for rent. The local shops barely meet the daily shopping needs - the supply of the local supermarket is not that abundant. Thus, a visit to the Plodine Mall 3-4 km-s south of Njivice (at the first exit to Malinska on Krk's main road) might be a better option. There are several restaurants and bars in the center, mainly on the riva.
